HISTORY OF ULLDEMOLINS

Ulldemolins is a municipality in the Priorat region located in the valley of silence and bordered by the Montsant river,its people are very welcoming.

There are indications that the place was already inhabited during prehistory.

The economy of the town is mainly based on agriculture. The main crops are the olive tree, the almond tree and the vine. Despite being a relatively small town, it has a large number of services: school, doctor's office, pharmacy, sports center, swimming pool, rural accommodation, camping, leisure areas, ATM, etc.

The second Sunday of the month of March, the Gastronomic Day of "Truita amb suc" is celebrated.

Another typical food of the area is the "orelletes" is a sweet dessert

In the municipality of Ulldemolins, at the foot of the Montsant cliffs, we find the hermitages of:

 San Bartolomé, of Romanesque style (in which in the year 1160 three hermits lived).
